This is a new idea of mine, but every week on Thursday I would like to post a vintage picture accompanied by a Bible verse, quote, or poem! I almost named this “Beautiful In Its Time Thursdays”, inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:11:
ย He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
In some ways I don’t like the cutesy day-of-the-week post themes, but I think it will be helpful to remember when to check back in for a lovely picture and message! This week, the first posting of it’s kind, take a bite out of this fresh photo straight from 1983.

Nice idea! Although, I feel like arguing about 1984 being a vintage photo…. I’m older and don’t feel vintage! ๐ lol.

Well, don’t feel bad, I don’t think vintage applies to people, haha. It’s interesting, the terms change age requirements depending on what you’re discussing… but the fine arts auctioneer specialist website I looked up said generally items must be 20 years old or more to be considered vintage and at least a hundred to be antique. Did you know that the Alaska DMV stipulates a vehicle only has to be 30 years old to meet the age requirements towards getting it designated a historic vehicle with special license plates? ๐
